OUR TEAM AT Palms Therapeutic Massage LLC
"WE EDUCATE EVERYBODY AND STRENGTHEN EVERY BODY!"

As a Certified Massage Therapist and active member of Palms Therapeutic Massage LLC Natural Health and Wellness Studio…I will introduce our educated and personable Team Leader, Studio Manager and Certified Massage Therapists

Tracy L. Quicker -  Member and Licensed Massage Therapist
#MSG001265

I hold an Associates Degree in Specialized Business with a major in Computer Information Management.  I am a Pennsylvania State Licensed Massage Therapist and a current member of the ABMP (Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals).

While living in Florida, I experienced two major automobile accidents in 2000 & 2001.  I sustained injuries, which resulted in several medical problems and chronic pain.

I tried all types of treatment from orthopedist, medical doctors, maxillofacial surgeons, physical therapists, and chiropractors, to Licensed Massage Therapists.  After months of treatment, I realized massage therapy was helping my recovery process more than I anticipated.  As time went on, I eliminated some of the treatment from which I was not receiving improvement and continued with massage therapy and chiropractic.

The holistic health aspect to recovery and wellness intrigued me so started to research more on what I could do to keep feeling better.  Like most people, I did not see light at the end of the tunnel.  At times, I gave up hope…

After I was laid off in the Information Technology field, I moved back to Pittsburgh and decided to attend the Career Training Academy in Monroeville to become a Certified Massage Therapist.  While attending school I was an office manager for a local chiropractor where I received on the job training from the D.C. and the other Massage Therapists on site.  I received additional education while performing corrective care at the chiropractic clinic.  When I finished school, I knew I would work towards my own Wellness Studio where we could help rehabilitate people who had sustained any type of trauma, pain, and injury or who wanted to increase their overall well-being.

After 4 years of traveling to personal homes and local businesses, Palms Therapeutic Massage LLC formed into a 1210 sq. ft. Wellness Studio.  We have 3 well-sized rooms for Massage and 1 double room for couples massage and Holistic Health and Yoga classes.  We support Green Living and encourage our clients to take care of themselves from the inside out.  We plan to continue to grow by educating people on how important their health is and to increase their sense of well-being.  From my own experience, I can say that there definitely is hope and light at the end of the tunnel for recovery!

I have also experienced another motor vehicle accident in October 2008, in which was more severe than my experiences. I had a major concussion and sustained severe neck and back problems.

I even lost most reflexes in my left leg leaving it weak and difficult to perform daily activities.  I continued a treatment plan that I knew would be best to get me back to where I needed to be.  After many massages and chiropractic adjustments, I am still able to work and move forward in life.  I have had my share of accidents and I am glad that I still move forward.  I learned even more and definitely, I am here to help get you to your maximum potential.

When I am not massaging ~ I enjoy kickboxing, dancing, swimming, fishing, and being outdoors.  I enjoy spending time with my favorite nephew R.J. and favorite niece Gabrielle.  We spend time together when our schedules permit.  I enjoy watching and attending sporting events.  After all, being from Pittsburgh it is easy to watch winning teams!

Linda Eastman ~ Certified Massage Therapist - Licensed in NY

My journey with massage started with a gift certificate. After that first massage, I talked to the therapist and was in school within 3 months. I graduated and passed the NYS board exam in 2000.As a New York State Licensed Massage Therapist I practiced in Chautauqua, NY for 6 years before relocating in the Pittsburgh area.

Continuing education has been an important part of my commitment to provide therapeutic massage and tailor my sessions to meet the needs of each individual client. My continuing education has included Trager Level 1, Myofascial release, Sports and Orthopedic Massage, La Stone and Hot Stone Massage, Zen Facial Massage, Chinese Medical Massage, and Reiki level 1 and 2.

I also have a certification in Geriatric Massage because I believe that seniors have a special need to be touched in a loving, positive way. The power of touch can ease both physical and mental suffering.

Geriatric Massage addresses the physiological and emotional changes that begin to accelerate as we age. Even active seniors are not as resilient as their younger counterparts are. My training allows me to work safely with older athletes and sedentary seniors, as well as medical patients.

I believe that massage is an important health practice contributing to my physical and mental well-being and I do receive massage regularly. I enjoy Family, Dance, Yoga, Walking, Kayaking and Oriental Brush work also feed both my soul and physical needs.
